Regional Science Bowl

What is it?

You and your team go head-to-head against other teams in a fast-paced question and answer format similar to Jeopardy®. You will be quizzed on all science disciplines including biology, chemistry, earth science, physics and astronomy, as well as math.

How it works

Regional science bowls are held across the country. The first place team from each regional competition wins an all-expense paid trip to the National Science Bowl finals, held in Washington, D.C. each spring.

Teams must be signed up by a teacher who agrees to be the coach (usually a science or math teacher). Space is limited so get your teacher to sign you up quickly! Cost per team is $75 and must be paid prior to the Regional event.

Registration takes place via the Department of Energy’s website. After registering, coaches will receive further event and payment information from MSOE.
